My Grandpa Made Porn

My grandpa was a movie producer. He was discreet and conservative, but ventured into films with plenty of pornography and other subversive themes for the 80s, like homosexuality and drugs. It has always been a family taboo. I had a superficial relationship with him and we never worked together. But, somehow, I’ll do it now that he died. By trying to find out who he was and what legacy he left, I will make my first feature and become a filmmaker.

TVDO was already experimetral

In the 1980s, five young people revolutionized Brazilian audiovisual production by creating the TVDO. They did literally “tvdo” (everything) that could be done with the video: video clips, video art, videopoems, video installations, video reportages. They have subverted genres and the support itself. In a short time, they arrived at the open TV, confronting the communication system in Brazil.
